The Golden State Warriors gets their revenge against the Cleveland Cavaliers – at least in NBA 2K17.
Custer George Galas, a Filipino gamer who recently won the national Philippine championship last October to earn his spot in the regionals, succeeded in winning the championship title at NBA 2K17’s Asia tournament.
In the Finals, it was Galas’ Golden State Warriors against Huang’s Cleveland Cavaliers, both of which entered the Finals undefeated.
He took his Taiwanese opponent for a ride in the grand finals, beating him 50 to 35. Galas used the sharp-shooting Golden State Warriors led by the unanimous MVP Stephen Curry while his rival played the defending NBA champions and LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers.
The game wasn’t too long, as it was only 6 minutes per quarter for a total of 24 minutes.
Galas wins $3,000 as his prize for winning the NBA 2K17 Asia tournament.
Custer Galas is the third Filipino to have won an international tournament this year. He joins TNC Pro Team and Staz who won Dota 2 and Hearthstone, respectively, at the recently concluded World Electronic Sports Games 2017 in Changzhou, China.
